Founded in 1974, Acme Fabrication and Welding, LLC has been a cornerstone in the welding and fabrication industry. What began as a general welding and fabrication shop quickly grew into something more, with our work centered around storage tanks, steel building erection, and general field services for nearby chemical and packaging plants.
In 1984, we refined our focus to specialize in pressure vessels, gaining recognition for our quality and service. Today, we’re known not just for what we do, but for what we stand for. That reputation has made us a trusted name in custom pressure vessel fabrication throughout the Gulf Coast of Texas and beyond.
Expanded Horizons Under New Leadership
In 2019, under the leadership of Jim Clawson Jr., Acme Fabrication and Welding entered a new era, expanding its capabilities to serve various industries in and around the Gulf of Texas. Our facility, spanning 11,000 square feet (and growing), is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to ensure quality fabrication. We are a certified “U” and “R” stamp shop with National Board capabilities and a member of The Texas Ground Water Association.

Andrew Fairchild
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager
Over 15 years of experience in manufacturing for oil and gas companies with most of his experience in quality assurance and quality control. Experienced in conforming and implementing ASME Sec VIII, Div 1, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Andrew is also a current member of ASME.
Charles “Chuck” Burgoon
Site Manager
With 51 years of rich experience in the construction, manufacturing, and fabrication industries, Chuck’s expertise spans pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and a wide variety of structural projects. His global experience and numerous industry accolades underscore our leadership in meeting future client needs.
Zachary Tanvir
Shop Foreman/Assistant Designer
With 12 years of hands-on experience in welding, pipefitting, and vessel fabrication within the oil and gas industry, Zach plays a crucial role in leading and enhancing our team. Currently pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Houston, Zach embodies the ideal blend of practical expertise and innovative thinking essential for driving future advancements.
