About Us
Founded in 1974 as a general welding and fabrication shop, ACME’s principle line of work was erecting storage tanks and steel buildings along with general field work in surrounding chemical and packaging plants. Since 1984, ACME specialized in pressure vessels by earning a reputation of quality and service.
Purchased in 2019 by Jim Clawson Jr., ACME Fabrication and Welding, LLC. has expanded our capabilities in order to supply welding and fabrication to multiple industries in and around the Gulf of Texas. Our shop area is made up of 11,000 square feet (additional shop space coming soon) and is equipped with cutting-edge machinery. We are a certified “U” and “R” stamp shop with National Board capabilities, and a member of The Texas Ground Water Association.

Over 35 years of experience in the pressure vessel and tank manufacturing business, and over 20 years of quality assurance and quality control for ASME Sect. VIII, Div. 1 guidelines. Larry is also a 15 year member of ASME.
